WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS?
“ Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord” Psalm 134:2

WHY DO WE PRAISE ALOUD?
“ By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His Name.” Hebrews 13:15

WHY DO WE SING CHORUSES AS WELL AS HYMNS?
“… Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:18-19
“ Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom: teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with the grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

WHY DO WE SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES?
“ And they were filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts2:4

WHY DO WE SING IN TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?
“ For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” I Corinthians 14:14-15

WHY DO WE HAVE THIS TYPE OF WORSHIP?
“ But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in Truth.”
John 4:23-24

WHY DO WE PROPHESY?
“ And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy.” Acts 2:17
“ But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.” I Corinthians 14:3

WHY DO WE NOT ONLY HAVE SPEAKING WITH TONGUES, BUT ALSO INTERPRETATION OF THOSE TONGUES?
“ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:4
“ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal… to another divers kinds of tongues: to another the interpretation of tongues.”

WHY ARE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS A PART OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE?
“ Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet: Praise Him with the psaltry and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals: Praise Him upon the high sounding cymbals.”
Psalm 150:3-5

WHY DO WE DANCE AS AN EXPRESSION OF WORSHIP?
“ Let them praise His name in the dance; Let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp.” Psalm 149:3

WHY DO WE ANOINT WITH OIL AND PRAY FOR THE SICK?
“ And these signs shall follow them that believe… in my name, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17,19
“ Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.” James 5:14, 15
